I. Pre-Startup Daily Inspection

1. Engine Oil: Check the oil level and color. If insufficient, add oil of the same specification. Ensure there is no emulsification or darkening.

2. Coolant: Ensure the radiator has sufficient coolant, with no leaks, and the antifreeze is not expired.

3. Fuel: Ensure the fuel tank is adequately filled, the fuel line has no leaks, and the filters are not clogged.

4. Battery: Check that the voltage is normal, connections are secure without oxidation, and the electrolyte level meets the standard.

5. Engine Compartment Appearance: Check that the engine has no oil or water leaks, screws are tightened, and fan belt tension is appropriate.

6. Environment: Ensure good ventilation in the engine room, no accumulation of debris, and unobstructed exhaust.

 

II. Inspection During Operation

1. Instrument Parameters: Voltage, frequency, water temperature, oil pressure, and speed should be within standard ranges.

2. Noise and Vibration: No abnormal sounds or severe shaking.

3. Temperature and Exhaust: No black/blue/white smoke, engine and exhaust temperatures are normal.

4. Terminal Connections: No overheating or burning smell; output current does not exceed the load capacity.

 

III. Post-Shutdown Maintenance

1. Run at idle for 3–5 minutes before stopping to avoid sudden stops that may damage the engine.

2. Clean dust and oil stains on the engine, and check for leaks in the pipelines.

3. Close the fuel valve, and in winter either drain the antifreeze or add additional protection.

4. For long-term inactivity: idle for 10–15 minutes weekly and recharge the battery.

 

IV. Regular Periodic Maintenance

1. Every 250 hours/half-year: Replace engine oil, oil filter, and diesel filter.

2. Every 500 hours/1 year: Replace air filter and coolant, and check and adjust valve clearance.

3. Every 1000 hours: Calibrate fuel injectors, clean carbon deposits, check the turbocharger, and inspect generator brushes.

4. Rainy Season: Implement moisture protection and insulation tests; ensure the engine room is dehumidified to prevent condensation.
