1. Preparation before startup
① Clean up any water, oil, and iron embroidery debris attached to the unit.
② Conduct a comprehensive inspection of each device in the unit, checking whether all connections, fasteners, and control parts are securely installed. The nuts of the series transmission shock absorber (i.e. the fastening bolts pass through the foot shock absorber pad and frame) must not be tightened too tightly (i.e. the nuts must be tightened to the position where they just come into contact with the feet, and the two nuts must be locked together to prevent loosening), otherwise the shock absorber will fail.
③ Check if the fuel storage capacity in the fuel tank meets the requirements.
④ Check if the oil level in the diesel oil pan, fuel injection pump, and governor is sufficient.
⑤ Fill the water tank (i.e. radiator) with coolant.
⑥ Check all electrical components, ensure that all contacts are secure and correct, and that the automatic air switch is in the "off" position. Check if the battery can function properly and note that the starting system is generally grounded to the negative pole.
⑦ When the unit is interrupted for a period of time before running, it is necessary to first measure the insulation resistance of each winding and control system of the generator to ground with a 500V megohmmeter. At room temperature, it should not be less than 2 megohms. If the insulation resistance is lower than the above value, it must be dried.
2. Startup steps
① Loosen the bleed screw on the fuel injection pump, use a fuel hand pump to remove air from the fuel system, and fix the adjustment control handle at the appropriate throttle position for starting speed.
② Press the start button to start the diesel engine, for example, 10 seconds (maximum of 15 seconds)
If the diesel engine still cannot start on fire, it should wait for 1 minute before making a second start. If it still cannot start for three consecutive times, it should be checked and the cause of the fault should be identified.
③ After starting the diesel engine, close attention should be paid to the reading of the oil pressure gauge (2.5-3.5 kg/C ㎡ during normal operation). If the oil pressure gauge does not indicate, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection, and the ammeter should be checked for charging indication.
④ After the unit is started, the no-load speed gradually increases to 1000-1200r/min (note not to run at low speed for a long time), and after the preheating process of the diesel engine, the speed is increased to the rated speed. Only when the water outlet temperature reaches 55 ℃ and the oil temperature reaches 45 ℃, can it enter full load operation.
⑤ When the indicators of each instrument in the unit are normal, the load switch can be closed to power the load. As the unit load changes, if the frequency and voltage are not within the specified range, the frequency and voltage should be adjusted in a timely manner to maintain the rated value. It is strictly prohibited for the unit to carry load at low speeds to avoid damaging the equipment.
⑥ After the unit is put into normal operation, attention should be paid to the changes in water temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, as well as the readings of power meters, frequency meters, ammeters, and voltage meters at all times. Any abnormalities found should be dealt with in a timely manner.
3. Shutdown steps
① Gradually unload the load and disconnect the load switch.
② Reduce the speed to around 1000 rpm in the unloaded state, let the diesel generator run for a few minutes. When there is a significant decrease in oil and water temperature, adjust the speed control handle to the initial starting position before stopping the machine. Finally, remove the battery grounding wire.
