Today, I will briefly introduce the precautions for using diesel generator sets in summer, hoping to be helpful to everyone.

1. Before starting, check if the circulating cooling water in the water tank is sufficient. If it is insufficient, add purified water to replenish it. Because the heat generated by the unit is dissipated through water circulation.

2. Summer can be hot and humid, so it is important to ensure that it does not affect the normal ventilation and cooling of the generator. It is important to regularly clean the dust and dirt in the ventilation ducts to maintain unobstructed flow; The diesel generator set should not operate in a high temperature environment exposed to sunlight to prevent the generator set body from heating up too quickly and causing malfunctions.

3. After continuous operation of the generator set for 5 hours, it should be stopped for half an hour to let the generator rest for a while, because the diesel engine in the diesel generator set works by high-speed compression, and long-term high-temperature operation can damage the cylinder block.

4. Diesel generator sets should not be operated in high temperature environments exposed to sunlight to prevent faults caused by rapid heating of the generator set body

5. Summer is a season with frequent thunderstorms, and on-site lightning protection should be done in the diesel generator set area. All types of mechanical equipment and construction projects must be grounded according to regulations, and the generator set device must be protected and grounded.
