Coolant Temperature Sensor (Coolant Temperature Probe)

Installed in the engine radiator/cylinder head water passages to monitor coolant temperature.
- Function 1: Collect real-time engine coolant temperature and monitor heat dissipation status.
- Function 2: High-temperature protection: When the water temperature exceeds the set value (usually 95~105℃), the control panel triggers a high-temperature alarm and automatically shuts down after a timeout.
- Causes of malfunction: Low radiator coolant, radiator blockage, stuck thermostat, fan failure.
- Two types of probes:

1. Temperature switch: directly triggers an alarm when the set temperature is reached;
2. Thermistor transmitter probe: transmits temperature data to the controller, displaying real-time water temperature on the screen.
- Hazards: If high temperature is not shut down, it can damage the cylinder head gasket, cause piston scuffing, and deform the engine block.
