1, The shell of the diesel generator set must have reliable protective grounding. For generators that require direct grounding of the neutral point, it must be grounded by professional personnel and equipped with lightning protection devices. It is strictly prohibited to use the grounding device of the mains for direct grounding of the neutral point. The bidirectional switch with the mains power must be very reliable to prevent reverse power transmission. The reliability of the wiring of the bidirectional switch needs to be inspected and approved by the local power supply department.

2, The installation site of the diesel generator set should have good ventilation, with sufficient air inlet at the generator end and good air outlet at the diesel engine end. The area of the air outlet should be more than 1.5 times the area of the water tank. The old diesel generator set needs to use concrete as the foundation, and during installation, its levelness must be measured with a spirit level to fix the unit on a horizontal foundation. There should be dedicated shock-absorbing pads or anchor bolts between the unit and the foundation. Modern diesel generator sets do not require concrete as a foundation, as they have been improved. The entire ground of the unit is flat and equipped with shock absorbers, which is very convenient.

3, When used indoors, the smoke exhaust duct must be connected to the outside, and the pipe diameter must be the diameter of the smoke exhaust duct of the muffler. The number of bends in the connected pipeline should not exceed 3 to ensure smooth smoke exhaust. The pipe should be tilted downwards by 5-10 degrees to avoid rainwater injection; If the exhaust pipe is installed vertically upwards, a rain cover must be installed.
