Cummins is a single equipment supplier capable of providing engines, alternators, digital controllers, transfer switches, and digital paralleling systems, and it is a pioneer in seamless power system integration technology. From the highly efficient and reliable Cummins engines, the electrically excellent Stamford alternators, to the fully digital Cummins Power control systems, all major components of the generator sets are designed and manufactured by Cummins, and we refer to this integrated approach as The Power of One™.

Cummins Power in China

In 1996, Cummins Power entered China, establishing Cummins Engine (Beijing) Co., Ltd., and began assembling diesel generator sets using domestic components. In 2009, the Cummins generator assembly line was relocated to Wuhan in Hubei Province, and "Cummins Power (China) Co., Ltd." was established, becoming the sole generator manufacturing plant of Cummins Power in China.

Located at No. 118 Quanli South Road, Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Cummins Power (China) Co., Ltd. is Cummins Power's only generator manufacturing facility in China. It has an annual production capacity of 14,500 generator sets and 20,000 automatic transfer switches (ATS). The plant includes one assembly area for containerized units, two generator assembly lines, three ATS assembly and testing lines, and four testing rooms.

The factory designs and manufactures diesel generator sets with power ranges from 55 kVA to 3000 kVA, which are widely applied in standby, prime, and continuous power systems. The generator sets are driven by Cummins engines, and all other major components-alternators and control systems-are manufactured by Cummins, ensuring optimal performance. The factory also produces transfer switch cabinets ranging from 40A to 2000A, with a variety of controllers available to meet different power transfer needs safely, reliably, and conveniently.

Cummins Power Technology Co., Ltd. is a joint venture established by Cummins (China) Investment Co., Ltd. and Xiangyang Kanghao Electromechanical Engineering Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 65 million RMB and a registered address in Xiangzhou District, Xiangyang City, Hubei Province. The company's business is based on engines produced by Dongfeng Cummins Engine Co., Ltd. and Xi'an Cummins Engine Co., Ltd. It focuses on the research and development, matching, and sale of power generation powertrains to generator equipment OEMs, as well as providing service support.
